Inside a chapter

Five minutes that stay with you.

Every story has five short chapters. Each one plays like an illustrated book that reads itself to you, then checks what stuck.

Hear it

Painted scenes. A voice that tells it.

Every scene is illustrated like a mid-century travel poster and read aloud. Captions light up word by word, so you can read along or just listen.

See it

See where it happened.

Animated maps draw the story as it moves. Watch Rome spread across a continent, then follow Hannibal over the Alps.

Get it

Where the phrase began.

Motion explainers build timelines, family trees and cutaways, then trace a famous line back to the page it came from.

A Herald quiz asking who said a line, next to a legendary David hero card being unlocked.

Keep it

Make it stick.

A quick quiz closes every chapter. Every story ends in a timed boss battle, and you collect hero cards along the way, from shepherds to emperors.

The library

Pick a shelf.

Questions

Good questions.

Is Herald free?

Yes, to start. The first two chapters of every story are free. Herald Pro unlocks every chapter, boss battles, unlimited hearts and the full hero collection, billed monthly or yearly through your Apple Account. Where a free trial is offered, you see it before you subscribe.

Do I have to be religious?

No. Herald tells these as stories and history: what the text says, where it happened and why people still quote it. Rome and the first witnesses sit on the same shelf. You bring your own beliefs.

How long does it take?

About five minutes a chapter. Five chapters make a story. Most people read one chapter a day.

Which languages?

English and Portuguese. The narration is recorded in English. In Portuguese, all text and subtitles are in Portuguese.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once a story is on your iPhone, it plays without a connection. Herald prepares your current and next stories in the background.

No. No sign-up, no email, no password. Your progress stays on your iPhone.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Herald is made for iPhone.
